Look around and know your scooter. You could save £'s by simply looking around...

Modern mobility scooters are power by rechargeable batteries which can be charged from the mains electric. The type of scooter and power required to run it, will determine the type of battery/batteries required in terms of power (amps). The higher the amps the greater the power. Some scooters may require 2 batteries.
Maintaining you battery…
1. If you are not using your scooter for a long period of time disconnect the battery, but still charge on a regular basis.
2. Ensure the battery is full charged before stopping the charging process.
3. Charge over a long period of time i.e. over night.
4. Keep the battery clean and ensure the connection is good.
The battery can be charge by mains electric; most models will allow you to charge whilst the batteries remain in the scooter by simply plugging in a cable from the scooter to the mains. Some scooters with smaller batteries also allow you to remove the battery from the scooter and plug the charger into the battery. These types of batteries usually come in a canvas bag with handle to make lifting and carrying easier.
New batteries can be purchased easily either on line of from a local dealer. It is always worth researching online first to get an idea of how much the battery will cost. This may save you money in the long term. For more information on batteries click here.
