Folding Mobility Scooters
Folding mobility scooters is ideal if you require a scooter that can be folded and dismantled to fit into the boot of your car for transporting. These types of scooters can take the form of either a 3 wheel or 4 wheel scooters; both can be portable and light weight. 3 wheel scooters are usually more common, but it is worth noting that a 4 wheel scooter offers greater stability when cornering.
These scooters usually require dismantling when transporting which involves removing of the seat, battery and the rear wheeled section. This makes the scooter easier to lift and place in the car boot, rather than lifting the whole scooter.
They usually take the form of 4mph scooters, and are unsuitable for use on roads. They are ideal for short trips or visiting shopping centre’s etc.
